About Renville County HRA

The Renville County Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA) is committed to providing its residents with safe & affordable housing.

If you have a low or moderate income and are looking for some help with the cost of rent, the Renville County HRA/EDA may be able to provide you with rental assistance. Please note that due to an extended waiting time and large waiting list, the Section 8 waiting list is closed.

Renville County's preference points include; Renville County residents, elderly and/or disabled head of households. The estimated wait time for those on the waiting list without preferences is in excess of three years. An additional requirement of the Section 8 Program is that the voucher must be used in Renville County for at least one year.

The Public Housing waiting list for Renville County is open and accepting applications. However, the Public Housing program requires that you live in a unit owned by the Renville County Housing Authority which are located in the communities or Sacred Heart, Morton and Franklin.
